Best Events and Things to do in Breckenridge This Weekend
Welcome to this week’s list of fun events and things to do in the Breckenridge and Summit County area this weekend for May 5th – May 11th, 2023. Happy Cinco De Mayo!
It is a pretty quiet week as lots of business is closed for the mud season in preparation for the summer. So stay tuned for the coming weeks, but we still have fun things going on this weekend.
Start your Friday with May First Friday Local’s Appreciation Part in Silverthorne. The event will feature free beer, wine, liquor tasting and live music from Blue River Grass and the Chris Bauer Band. While the May First Friday event is free, community members are strongly encouraged to make donations to local non-profits.
On Saturday do not miss Shakin’ at the Basin Spring Concert series with The Altitones. Celebrate springtime in the Rockies at A-Basin with live music on Mountain Goat Plaza stage! This six-piece band, The Altitones play an array of “body-shaking” songs, with influences ranging from Memphis, Tennessee, blues to reggae to ’80s bops. While the band has a strong repertoire of covers, it have a great deal of original music as well, which the band classifies as “predominantly dance” music.
On Saturday evening check out the Dance Collective 2023 recital at Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge. The Dance Collective is excited to celebrate the end of this year with their annual recital. Come see the dancers shine on stage and show you all that they have learned this year. Please join them in supporting their commitment and dedication to this years dance season! Door opens at 6pm.
