Can you tell us about yourself, your business and what you offer?

Hello, my name is Lenka Robitaille, I’m the proud owner and founder of Above Therapies. I’ve called the beautiful mountains of Summit County home for the past 20 years and am originally from the Czech Republic. I’m excited to offer integrated therapeutic services to help you navigate stress and discover new possibilities of harmonious living. The treatments I offer work on reducing anxiety, stress levels, and targeting pain, insomnia, depression, ADHD. My services will help increase energy, and finding your inner calm, with much peace and relaxation. Sessions can vary greatly depending on your intention for healing and plan of action, we will co-create a wellness plan that best serves you. I create a nurturing and safe place where you connect to your body, bringing you back into harmony, back home to yourself, to activate your full potential and open up new possibilities in life. After a consultation, I will use a combination of modalities to create your individual healing plan.

What inspired you to start your business, and how did you come up with the idea?I wanted to help others and spread balance, wellness, and peace through the community.

How long have you been in business, and what have been some significant milestones or achievements, designations or certifications?
Since childhood, I recall being very intuitive, highly sensitive to energy, being an empath and clairvoyant. I studied and earned a degree in Psychology and Early Childhood Education while incorporating Yoga, Breath Work, Pranic Healing, Herbalism, Quantum Touch Technique-Matrix, Neuromeditation and other modalities. I began to study and practice energy medicine, using various tools and modalities as part of my own personal development and healing, and continue to learn and integrate that knowledge into my practice. I am a certified practitioner of Access Bars, Soma Breath, Body Processes, Neuromeditation, Reiki, Pranic Healing, and Jyorey modalities. I decided to open my business a few years ago, but my practice goes way back.

What sets your business apart from others in the area?
I really am a word-of-mouth business, and that’s something I couldn’t be prouder of. My energy sessions greatly enhance the experience of overall wellness of my clients. My sessions are designed to address the mind, body, and spirit rather than just focusing on the physical body, considering all components of an individual’s life, from physical, mental, and emotional health.

Can you share a memorable experience or story related to your business?
I also work with kids and teenagers, and I had a very memorable experience with a troubled teen that I worked with for a while and his mother reported that his sleep got better, and overall outbursts diminished.

Can you describe the typical customer experience when they visit your business?
The session commences with a brief chat, allowing the practitioner and the client to connect and set an intention for the session ahead, asking the client to embrace the healing energy and allowing it to flow freely for the highest good of healing. People’s needs differ greatly, as do their symptoms and conditions. I do my best to accommodate everyone’s needs by designing a customized plan to best fit their needs.

What are some common misconceptions people might have about your industry or business?
In our society where modern medicine is the norm and big pharma companies are getting bigger, holistic wellness techniques can be easily overshadowed or discounted. Though it’s been practiced for millennia, many people remain skeptical of energy healing or don’t fully understand it. Energy healing isn’t about magic crystals, incense, and chanting. In fact, energy healing is now being taken seriously by health practitioners across all realms of medicine and is considered a legitimate practice and profession by growing numbers of people around the globe.
